Chicken Housing Sources We Use

CoopBlueprints uses university Extension and public agricultural resources as the primary factual layer for chicken-housing guidance. Builder and owner experience may add context, but it does not replace a source-backed claim.

See the editorial standard

Original editorial framework

How this standard works in practice.

01University Extension
Primary factual layer for space, roosting, nesting, ventilation and existing-building evaluation.
02Experienced practice
Useful for describing build workflow, but clearly separated from scientific or site-specific guidance.
03Owner experience
Used only as context for routines or regrets and never promoted into universal housing science.

Current core sources.

These sources support the claims currently published on the reference pages. Each page also links directly to the sources relevant to its topic.

Topic coverage

Sources, scope and claim families.

One source can appear in more than one topic because the library records where it is used. Scope notes prevent a source from being stretched into a universal answer.
